We are located 310 kms from Helsinki – the capitol of Finland- and 310 km from St Petersburg – the ex-capitol of Russia. All our cottages are equipped with adequate accessories for a cosy stay.

MAININKI – Saimaa Lakeland Lodge

Maininki Lakeland Lodge invites you and your friends to a cosy stay by Lake Saimaa. It is a charming two store log house built in 1923 that has been carefully renowated to a Finnish country inn for even 20 passengers.

There is a unique atmosphere in this cosy lodge with eight bedrooms, three toilettes and showers, two saunas (one in the house an a separate one on the way to the beach with a wood oven), a well equipped kitchen, a living room and a library. Free wi-fi.

Such fabulous Villa at Saima lakeside, we 16 people spent wonderful 3 nights, Sauna, Swimming , BBQ, fishing, boat-exploration, game-playing……, full of fun and relaxing. Definitely, we would like to come back again, thanks a lot for Edith and her parents Rami and Tepa’s excellent hospitality.

We had a relly great time there! There were 13 of us + a baby and a dog. We all had plenty of space to chill in. Also plenty of bedrooms to get some alone time if needed. Having a ”party” downstairs did not bother the upstairs bedroom people too much. Weather was not on our side, but taking the boat out for a ride and having some first class old school sauna experience was really nice. The hosts were also very welcoming and nice! Thank you!

Amazing! Big cozy house for big company. You can listen to vinyl near fireplace ❤️ , cook dinner with your friends ( blender, coffeemaker, dishes and etc – here for you, there is no need to take it from home), playing in the snow, chill in a sauna.
Edith and her family are amazing! They’ve prepared everything for our comfortable stay.
Highly recommended! Will be back soon :)))
